This position is responsible for the overall leadership and strategy development in the areas of Customer Relationship Management, Price Management Tools and Sales Reporting. This role is responsible for identifying and managing division wide process improvements for marketing, field sales and field support functions.
Primary function:
? Establish and drive programs across the marketing and field sales organizations to support attainment of established company goals. Analyze & evaluate sales and market data to ensure the required information is in the optimum platform and provided in the expected time frame.
? Drive continuous improvement efforts through the deployment of the Eaton Business System, Balanced Scorecard/EPM, and other EBS processes/ tools. Provide support to internal and external customers, channel, vendors, and support functions for the organization.
Responsibilities:
? Provide leadership for the deployment of price management tools, supporting the overall pricing strategy across all product lines and segments. Analyze performance and improve existing price management tools including BidManager, Global Vista, MPLG and Global Vista on the Web.
? Lead the development and deployment of an effective price change process and provide timely input to all parties when price changes/increases are required.
? Lead a cross-functional team in the development, implementation and maintenance of a holistic Customer Relationship Management platform across the Canadian Marketing and Field Sales organizations.
? Collaborate with market segment managers and product lines in supporting the profit plan goals. Work with Field Sales leadership to establish effective sales productivity tools, including lead and opportunity management and customer data repository.
? Manage daily activities of Marketing/Price Analyst(s) who will be responsible for regular price maintenance and update duties within the Marketing and Sales organizations.
? Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of the Canadian Operations Strategic Plan and annual Profit Plan, ensuring alignment with Electrical Sector goals.
? Responsibility for Programs/Initiatives as assigned by the Director of Marketing. These to include: support of District Operating Plan (DOP), Sales Goal Loading Process, and Field Sales Incentive Plans.
? Develop and implement an organizational structure capable of building organizational capabilities and integrating functional needs into the development of short and long range business plans. Provide timely performance feedback, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports. Facilitate the sharing of best / transferable practices across the organization for CRM, Pricing, OPEX, and Sales Reporting. Represent Canadian Operations on Corporate or Electrical Sector steering committees or councils as required and requested.
? Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental standards.
Education:
? Bachelors degree in engineering, marketing, business or related field.
Experience:
? Minimum of 7 - 10 years experience in field sales, marketing and/or operations with P/L responsibility. Ideally, 3 - 5 years experience within the electrical industry.
? Knowledge, competencies, skills, attributes required.
? Demonstrated knowledge and experience in strategy implementation, business process improvement, EBS tools and methods including PRO-Launch, EBE and EQS is preferred.
? Proven experience as a manager of people, with successes in building and motivating talent.
? Ability to work in a matrix environment and can get results and drive change through others.
? Must have strong analytical skills, effective leadership style, excellent verbal and written communication, planning, and organizational skills.
? Must have strong knowledge of software tools and the ability to personally use to produce reports and documentation as required.
? Ability to manage by influence through solid relationships and process focus. Demonstrated ability to drive results.
? Strong negotiation skills required.
